We won! And we keep winning.
Two years ago, this didn’t seem possible. In my 2024 post-election email, I suggested that American Democracy as we knew it was likely gone, and that I hoped its death would create space for something new to emerge. And now here we are. It’s after midnight on the East Coast, and we’ve won back the House and the Senate, flipped at least four governors’ seats, and in states like Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia, a revolutionary political alignment is happening in real time.
And that’s what we know right now. Tomorrow I expect to wake up to loads more good news. Democratic victories, a new wave of elected officials who actually want to serve the American people, and the numbers to actually get shit done, especially in the states. Subpoena power and a clear mandate from voters. A new energy, nationwide.
I’ll have more in the coming days, starting with a compilation of MAGA’s tears, whining, and rage. I’ll also share thoughts on how we can pressure these new majorities to keep their word and take action. But tonight I just wanted to celebrate the wins with you. I hope you take a moment tomorrow to savor each one, especially those wins where your vote, volunteering, or work made an impact. Millions of small actions adding up to the Blue Tsunami. We did it. You did it. Enjoy this moment.

Yes. We all did, everyone blue. And those who turned blue. Now the hard part - dismantling & rebuilding the horror-in-the-WH's destruction of America.
I'm hoping Tessa can take down Jay Obernolte. Long past time we had a Democrat in office here. Long, long past time. It'll be morning before I know. Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow!
