VIDEO: How to Organize in an Authoritarian State

Building power in a nation where our rights and freedoms have become more limited is a challenge. What do we do now?

Something shifted between last week and this one. Almost overnight, a growing chorus of political elites became comfortable calling America under Trump a fascist state or an authoritarian state. Trump’s escalation is terrible, but it’s an objectively good thing to see more elected officials and public figures acknowledge what’s happening and sound the alarm. I welcome it.

With that in mind, I wanted to share a video of my panel from Netroots Nation. It was only a few weeks ago, and my intro feels quaint compared to where we are now. But the content is still timely. The panel was my attempt to understand where we’re falling short and what skills and wisdom we need to learn if we have any hope of fighting the Trump Regime successfully. It gave me a lot to think about, and I’m grateful it was recorded so that I can share it with y’all.
