VIDEO: Eyes Forward Keynote Panel
A conversation with progressive members of Congress at Netroots Nation
On Friday afternoon, I had the privilege of moderating a keynote conversation with Congresswomen Delia Ramirez, Summer Lee, and Ana Lilia Mejia at Netroots Nation. Our discussion centered on what’s possible in America and how grassroots activists can take the lead, pressuring their elected officials to get on board.
What struck me as I was reading bios and preparing for the panel is how all three women have experience as grassroots activists on the outside before being elected to public office. Giving them a unique view into how to move the needle and what works to pressure our elected officials to actually lead. Their counsel on this particular topic was everything I hoped it would be, and you can tell from the audience’s response that it was enthusiastically received. I wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to enjoy it as well.
Next Sunday, we’re back to regular programming. Talk to you again in one week!
