Don't usually count not losing as a "win" but I'll take anything these days.

Considering how this could have gone (and how other organizations might have caved) I'm good with calling it a win.

So you'll only go so far as saying the Allies "didn't lose" to the Nazis in World War II, or that the North "didn't lose" to the South in the U.S. Civil War? (I realize that last can be debated, as Heather Cox Richardson's 2020 title HOW THE SOUTH WON THE CIVIL WAR suggests.) Or, going way back in time, that David "didn't lose" to Goliath? Come to think of it, that's not a bad analogy to Media Matters going up against an agency of the federal government.
