"I found a helpful interview that podcaster Owen Jones did with Dublin-based journalist Una Mullally."

Are you talking about the Owen Jones who is actively spreading disinformation about the October 7 pogrom, in an attempt to absolve Hamas of its despicable crimes against humanity, and its rapes, sexual assaults, and torture of Israelis, specifically?

Or is antisemitism only objectionable when it comes from the right.

Thanks for flagging this! Mostly I was looking for a good explainer for non-Irish folks. and since Mullally is a fairly mainstream journalist I didn't too too much diligence on where she was appearing. My mistake. FWIW I think antisemitism on the left is a real problem in the US, one that the UK has had a bit of a reckoning with that we're overdue for.

Melissa- Elon Musk didn't have the disastrous week, he is a disaster. He is a self outed anti-semite and hate speech promoter. As a progressive, it is beyond me how anybody to the left of Mitch McConnell uses Twitter. Whenever anyone uses Twitter they add to his income, supporting an anti-Semite makes you an anti-Semite. Period. If he described black people using the N-word no one (again to the left of Mitch McConnell) would use twitter. If he used the C-word to describe women, the same group of people would immediately stop using Twitter. Biden's use of Twitter to castigate Musk is as absurd as must going to Israel to prove he's not an anti-Semite. I don't understand why anyone thinks it's okay to use Twitter/X. It's as if they are saying that misogyny is not okay and racism against black or brown people is not okay but it's perfectly okay to persecute and promote hate crimes 6 against Jews
