I believe it’s important to savor the wins, so let’s enjoy this one: Elon Musk’s time in the Trump Administration has come to an end.
One of the first casualties of Trump 2.0, it’s unclear if Musk is leaving of his own accord or if he was pushed out. But as his offboarding supposedly began “Wednesday night” per White House sources, there’s probably a story there. Musk has said he plans to spend more time at his companies, but he’s clearly spending a lot of time trying to rehabilitate his public image. Over the last week or so, Musk has given multiple interviews attempting to defend DOGE, assure investors he’s backing away from politics, and distancing himself from the Trump Administration with criticism of the budget bill recently passed in the House.
